This Charming Ninja

So, I've finally finally finally got a ninja head charm. I've been trying for a long time to get this made. And after many failed attempts with wood, polyclay and resin, this baby was constructed.
I think I'm in love.

caramel colored loveliness

I love bracelets but I want them to be reasonably unfussy. Therefore, when the Fire Mountain catalog came to my door, I flipppped over the possiblities of the new epoxy coated charms.
My crappy picture doesn't do justice to it's caramel colored beauty.

I also got hearts and rounds in splashy colors.

Geisha buttons

I printed these fabric geishas so I could cover buttons and then make them into ponytail holders....for ponytails. It's exciting.
I'm thinking this design would look spiffy as a pendant, too.

I've been feeling kinda blah and kind of lazy lately. A feeling I've dubbed 'malaise-y'. I suppose the truth is that I've been feeling uninspired. I've got a HUGE box of t-shirts that are waiting to be printed for Strange Folk that are lingering in my studio....but no inclination to start a-printing. I've got a fresh screen ready for burning...plus two lino blocks and 3 sheets of stencil material. Le sigh.

I'm thinking of turn this design to the left into some ceramic pendants.

Happy Birthday to me

On the advice of BenCanDance (my favorite dancing clay man), I made the ninja family tree.

I'll be spending the rest of the weekend enjoying my birthday. Enjoy your weekend.

Family Reunion

Family portraits....hung upon the wall. There's something about this piece that I simply love.

I think I'm going to turn some of the individual portraits into small batch silkscreens.

Bah Homebug

The lovely and talented Ms. Pink alerted me the the fact that one of my prints was featured on Homebug, an Irish based design blog. How fantastically exciting? Feel free to give them a gander and maybe even some love from across the pond.

Everyone loves a Zombie

It's sad but true. Zombies just don't care much about your outfit, eyes or general hottness.

Zombies are shallow that way.

Vampire Humor - New designs

So, embracing my love of all things creepy and weird with this vampire themed t-shirt print. I burned a zombie today (sounds cooler than I mean it) but I haven't pulled a print from it yet. It was movie night with the kiddo.

A new larger version of my faux-keshi. I think they might be a tad too shiny.

New Designs in the pipeline

The admittance into Strange Folk has started the flow of creativity. After a jaunt to children's theater on Saturday, I will plunge headlong into creation. A painting concept and 3 tee designs will hopefully be unveiled this weekend.

and since I've been so boring lately, check out this stuff:

Woo! I've been accepted for the strange folk fest. This is my first EVER craft show/fair/fest and I'm sooooo nervy. I'll be spending the rest of the summer making merch for the festival. Anyone have any advice for a novice?
I figure I'll need a:

discontent discontinued

I'm thinking of discontinuing some of my under-performing designs. That frees up screens for new sparkling designs. What do think? Are these ready for the scrap heap?
