I decided to open an Etsy shop for some of my edgier designs that wouldn't really fit into the Custom Mom shop. these designs are for older humans.

This will probably become the primary home for my ninja based designs.

I am not a bug

These designer were inspired by two random sentenced blurted out loudly between two arguing sisters, aged 8 and 13, during a family pre-Christmas gathering. I made these shirts for them but I think the themes are universal.

Stick with me

I'm working on some new concepts for older t-shirt wearers. I've been trying to work out a design with aliens to go with my ninjas.
I've also made some shirts that I'll post tomorrow based on some random pieces of a conversation that my husband's 13 and 9 yr old cousin were having in my kitchen.

It would appear that I finally sold something of mine on Custom Mom! I'm officially not a failure.

I wish I'd seen this soon enough to get one for my sister.
I saw their ad in the back of Life and Style magazine (shut up, you read it too) and hit their site.
Well, her birthday is in February so maybe I'll tuck this one into the vault.

The Cure for What Ails Ya

Carrying me through this recent bout of illness has been my growing obsession with The White Stripes and it's creepily attractive front man, Jack White. Nothing like blues flavored guitar licks to bring a body back from the dead.

I'd classify Jack as a guitar god at this point even though I know that's a term general reserved for some stale and crusty relic of the motohead generation.

I'd give mad props to Jimi Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz....got love for Vernon Reid....and Radiohead for producing that massive 'chunk' in the song 'Creep'. It's interesting because normally, I go all gooey for piano players...which Jack is also..hmm.

I'm a bad little blogger

please forgive my absentee blogging this week. I've been hit with the stomach flu. and when I say 'hit', I mean 'destroyed' and when I say 'stomach flu', I mean 'my internal organs being liquified'. Hopefully, I'll be back on my game tomorrow.

behold! I have succeeded in my first experiment with heat-transfer crystals. This just opened up a whole new world of bling for my designs. Onesies with bling initials....bibs with bling collars...kids t's with hearts and stars and letters and numbers...

Some grandmas are just great

I made this design for my husband's grandmother who was frustrated by the lack of great-grandmother items that are available for babies.
I'd guess that's because great-grandmas are rare. This will be heading to that new neice of mine for Christmas. Gee, I hope they don't let her see my blog. (yeah, okay, she's a month old...)

Tipsy the penguin

Inspired by the photos of Lyn's penguin lost weekend, I doodled up a soon-to-be holiday favorite, Tipsy the penguin.
Tipsy likes to go to the office christmas party, have a couple of tuna martinis and get this party started.
